Joy of Wildflowers: Tips and Techniques for Close-Up Flower Photography
Judy Kramer

You are are hiking in one of our local parks or up in the Sierra and see some interesting wildflowers you'd like to photograph. But when you get home, you are disappointed that your photos don't communicate what you saw. Local nature photographer Judy Kramer will discuss ways to take more dynamic and compelling digital photos of wildflowers, even if your camera is a "point-and-shoot" variety.  Her talk will include her Seven Super Field Techniques and will touch on the Photoshop tools she uses to make the finishing touches.

Judy KramerJudy considers herself a "digital baby" because it was the digital photography revolution that inspired her serious photography work. She is a past president of the Palo Alto Camera Club, and her photography is used by such groups as Peninsula Open Space Trust, Environmental Volunteers, the Anza-Borrego Foundation, the California Council of Land Trusts, and the California Native Plant Society. Her philosophy is expressed in a quote from Yann Arthus Bertrand, "A photographer is a witness to the art that is the Earth." You can view her work at her web site, http://www.earthwitnessphoto.com
