Restoring Old Movies with Pinnacle Studio 12

Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate is a powerful multi-featured video editing program. Maury will present a detailed evaluation of this software based on his experience producing 6 hours of DVD video from 6000 feet of 8mm movie film. He will describe the workflow, the special effects used to restore the images and the final production of the video DVD.

Member's Night
Show off your latest imaging creations. Get critiques of your work. Demonstrate a favorite technique. Tonight's meeting will be a open session. Bring your images on a USB flash drive or card. Adobe Photoshop Elements 5, Photoshop CS and Lightroom will be available on the computer. Maury will demonstrate some tutorials from NAPP and other sources as time and interest indicate.

Building Dynamic Websites with CSS, DHTML & AJAX

For the first of the next three sessions we are returning to the basics of web design. Many of you have asked for a refresher on the basic principles of HTML and CSS which we covered back in 2007. We will cover that in the first session, concentrating on CSS and the box model for layout and design. From there we will expand into DHTML (Dynamic HTML) which allows for client side modifications of website content and design using the DOM (Domain Object Model) and Javascript. Finally we will bring this all together with AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) as the modern way to create a truly dynamic website.
