SUMMARY:Web Design SIG
DESCRIPTION:
Building Dynamic Websites with CSS\, DHTML&nbsp\;&amp\; AJAX
Maurice Green

<img height=\\"80\\" alt=\\"picture of Maurice\\" hspace=\\"10\\" width=\\"80\\" align=\\"left\\" src=\\"/files/images/maury_80x80.jpg\\" />For the first of the next three sessions we are returning to the basics of web design. Many of you have asked for a refresher on the basic principles of HTML and CSS which we covered back in 2007. We will cover that in the first session\, concentrating on CSS and the box model for layout and design. From there we will expand into DHTML (Dynamic HTML)&nbsp\; which allows for client side modifications of website content and design using the DOM&nbsp\;(Domain Object Model) and Javascript. Finally we will bring this all together with AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) as the modern way to create a truly dynamic website.
