Integrating Your PC and Home Theater

Alan will discuss considerations for connecting your Media/Home Theater PC with your Home Theater/AV system. Convergence is suffering from specification distortion and other incompatibilities, which must be carefully considered when buying accessories. For example, to use a computer as a media center, the DVD player must be chosen to match the characteristics of video and sound cards, which must be compatible with the external amplifier, or the highest quality video resolution and sound will not be enabled.

Alan Hutchings worked for Cambridge Sound Systems and started his own company in 2002.  He specializes in concealed installations, using in-wall wiring and custom equipment to install systems that integrate into the home.  He also sells  equipment ranging from Panasonic to Sonance and can install wiring for home or office computer networks.
